Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a physician to deliver comprehensive medical services in both practice and hospital settings.

The physician provides high-quality, cost-effective care and participates in quality and performance improvement initiatives. Responsibilities include performing history and physical examinations, adhering to standardized orders, coordinating patient care with physicians and allied health professionals, educating patients, and maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical school.
• Completion of residency and/or fellowship in the specialty.
• MD or DO licensed by the State medical board.
• Board Certified or Eligible in the specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Perform history and physical examinations on all patients.
• Provide cost‑effective, high‑quality care based on evidence‑based medicine.
• Adhere to standardized orders and practice guidelines approved by the medical staff.
• Demonstrate competency in assessment, treatment, and communication appropriate to the age of the patient.
• Maintain timely and appropriate communication with referring physicians, patients, and families.
• Educate patients and families about health care and prevention.
• Evaluate and implement patient health care needs, including prescription, diagnostic tests, exams, and procedures.
• Review lab results and plan actions accordingly.
• Perform routine health maintenance for new and established patients.
• Coordinate patient care and referrals to physicians, nurses, psychologists, nutritionists, and other professionals.
• Collaborate with other professionals and external agencies regarding patient care.
• Assist patients with wellness habits and preventive education.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information per network policies.
