Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Dietitian for the Cancer Center to provide medical nutrition therapy and develop individualized nutrition plans for patients undergoing cancer treatment. You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other care team members to ensure evidence-based nutrition care and improve survivorship outcomes.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or dietetics, registration with the CDR, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Education in nutrition or dietetics with didactic requirements met.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills including Google Suite and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provides medical nutrition therapy to patients on referral from physicians and other clinicians.
• Develops and evaluates nutrition care plans based on nutritional needs.
• Confers with physicians and medical staff to provide personalized nutrition therapy.
• Reviews medical records for nutritional assessment information.
• Counsels patients and families on nutrition topics related to cancer treatment and survivorship.
