Astrix Inc. is seeking a Scientist III – Data Science / Computational Biology to join the Computational Innovation team in Ridgefield, CT, with remote options. The role focuses on data-driven oncology drug discovery, leveraging multi-omics and in silico methods to advance cancer programs.

The ideal candidate has a PhD and strong Python/R skills, experience with bulk and single-cell NGS, and access to HPC resources. Collaboration with biologists and cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Genomics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, Biological Sciences, or related field.
• Strong programming experience with Python and R in Unix/Linux.
• Experience analyzing bulk and single-cell NGS data.
• Experience with HPC/high-performance computing clusters.
• Proficiency in biological pathway analysis.

Responsibilities

• Support oncology drug discovery and development programs.
• Analyze internal and publicly available datasets using statistical and bioinformatics approaches.
• Develop and apply innovative data science methods to address complex scientific challenges.
• Work with bulk and single-cell NGS data to generate meaningful biological insights.
• Stay current with scientific literature and emerging computational technologies.
• Interpret and present findings to biologists and cross-functional collaborators.
• Ensure data analysis is FAIR, well-documented, and reproducible.
