Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies is seeking a Data Scientist III to contribute to oncology drug discovery through in silico, data-driven approaches. The role is remote, supporting multi-modal omics analyses and collaboration with biologists to advance cancer therapeutics.

The candidate will apply advanced analytics on bulk and single-cell NGS data, leveraging HPC resources and staying current with literature to ensure robust, reproducible results and ethical data handling.

Qualifications

• PhD in computational sciences or related field required.
• Experience with bulk and single cell NGS data required.
• Proficiency in HPC environments and computational workflows.

Responsibilities

• Support Oncology drug development efforts.
• Identify, learn and apply emerging data science technologies for novel cancer therapeutics discovery.
• Apply and develop innovative data analysis approaches when standard methods fall short.
• Process publicly available and internal datasets using statistical and bioinformatics techniques to derive biological insights.
• Review scientific literature to apply optimal methods and stay updated with field practices.
• Interpret, report and present analysis results to biologists and collaborators with integrity.
• Ensure FAIR data analysis with clear documentation and reproducibility.
