Job summary

Northside Hospital Inc. is seeking a Coder II to review full medical records, apply ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT coding accurately, and ensure timely submission. The role requires strong coding credentials and knowledge of EMR systems.

Responsibilities include adhering to coding guidelines, maintaining high quality, and meeting turnaround times. Experience in acute care settings and familiarity with Cerner/EPIC are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; coding credentials strongly preferred.
• Credentials such as CCS, CPC, RHIT, RHIA, CCS-P required.
• Working knowledge of revenue cycle functions including documentation, coding and billing guidelines preferred.
• Knowledge of ICD-10/HCPCS/CPT coding & medical terminology essential.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and apply ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT/HCPCS codes accurately.
• Adhere to coding guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Meet or exceed turnaround time and quality expectations.
