Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our nursing team. You will support licensed nurses by performing patient care tasks, collecting vital signs, and communicating patient needs with accuracy and empathy in a demanding hospital setting.

Under RN supervision you will report at the start of each shift, assist with assessments, and help maintain infection control, safety, and comfort.

Qualifications

• CNAs must have Basic Cardiac Life Support and CNA certification.
• CNA certification by the State of Pennsylvania is required.
• H.S. Diploma or GED is required; nursing student pathways may be considered as equivalent experience.
• Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of certification.

Responsibilities

• Report at the start of each shift from the RN and communicate the care plan.
• Assist with data collection and patient assessments.
• Maintain infection control and a safe environment; monitor for safety and skin integrity.
• Document findings and patient outcomes using standard charting.”
