Job summary

Mercy Health in Ohio is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (Oncology) to join the Oncology Services - St. Elizabeth team.

You will work closely with the primary care physician to deliver high-quality patient care, review and update health records, measure vital signs, and prepare treatment rooms for upcoming examinations. Essential duties include greeting patients, preparing charts, tracking diagnostic results, performing vital signs, and handling clerical tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Active Medical Assisting certification (CMA/other) required or ABR-OE acceptable (if MA cert unavailable).
• BLS certification required at hire (preferred before patient care at some locations).
• One year of medical assistant healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service greeting patients respectfully.
• Prepares and reviews patient charts, verifies diagnostic results and reports.
• Measures vital signs (pulse, respirations, BP, weight, height).
• Performs related clerical duties: inventory, referrals, phones.
