Job summary

Med-Hunters seeks an Oncology Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to oversee pharmacologic aspects of oncology trials in Northern New Jersey, focusing on Phase I protocols. You will work on-site with oncologists, nurses and researchers to ensure safe, evidence-based chemotherapy and investigational drug use.

You will precept pharmacy students and residents, contribute to protocol development, and participate in tumor boards and safety reviews, advancing cancer care within a renowned research program.

Qualifications

• PharmD from an ACPE-accredited program and NJ pharmacist license or eligibility.
• Completion of PGY1 residency; oncology experience or PGY2 in oncology preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead pharmacologic oversight of oncology clinical trial protocols, especially Phase I studies.
• Evaluate and monitor oncology treatment plans for safety and efficacy.
• Provide PK, drug interaction and supportive care guidance for hematologic and solid tumors.
• Collaborate with oncologists, nurses and research staff to optimize investigational and standard therapies.
• Precept students and participate in residency training; contribute to formulary decisions and protocol development.
• Serve on tumor boards, P&T committees, and quality initiatives; address drug shortages and safety reviews.
• Educate healthcare teams and patients on medication use and formulary changes.
