Job summary

The Clinical Team Manager at the University of Wisconsin–Madison leads the oncology clinical research program within the UW Carbone Cancer Center. Reporting to the Clinical Team Pod Manager, the role provides clinical oversight, directs a team of coordinators and nurses, and ensures compliance with all laws and policies across DOTs and trials.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in clinical research required.
• Must obtain an approved clinical research certification within 6 months of hire (CRRP/CCRA/CCRC/ACRP-CP).
• Bachelor's degree preferred; four years oncology experience and supervisory background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as subject matter expert and main contact for participants, explaining procedures and expectations.
• Schedule logistics and resources for high-complexity trials and multiple studies.
• Supervise at least 2.0 FTE, manage conduct, performance, and hours.
• Monitor program budgets and approve expenditures.
• Recruit, screen, enroll participants, collect data, and respond to inquiries with supervision.
• Collect, prepare, analyze, and submit participant data and samples per protocols.
• Assist in reviewing trials and developing operational policies for improvements.
