Job summary

The START Center for Cancer Research in East Brunswick, NJ is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to support the daily activities of early‑phase oncology clinical trials under supervision of senior staff. The CRC ensures accurate conduct of trials, adherence to protocols and patient safety standards.

The role involves direct patient interaction, data collection, regulatory compliance, and coordination of multiple protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2 years of clinical research experience supporting interventional studies.
• Strong experience of oncology clinical trials, particularly Phase 1 studies.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of GCP and regulatory requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and clinical trial management software.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with Study Sponsors, CROs, staff regarding questions and protocol status.
• Monitor day-to-day conduct of studies per protocol, SOPs, and GCP.
• Create/review forms for trials to assure protocol compliance.
• Maintain study files with standardized labeling and filing.
• Assist with patient screening and eligibility determination.
• Facilitate informed consent process ensuring proper completion.
• Address deviations with leadership to prevent recurrence.
• Assist data coordinator with CRF completion and query resolution.
• Work with PI to complete and submit Serious Adverse Event reports.
• Perform protocol closeout activities with data coordinator.
