Job summary

The Ohio State University’s James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute seeks a Clinical Research Coordinator to support oncology trials. You will assist with patient records, consent, data collection, and study coordination across multiple OSU locations.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in biological or related fields, strong communication, and experience in clinical research; SoCRA/ACRP certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in biological sciences or related field required.
• One year of clinical research experience is required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology desired.
• Clinical research certification from SoCRA/ACRP is preferred.
• Computer skills with Microsoft Office applications required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with assessing patient records to identify eligibility for protocols.
• Recruit, interview and enroll patients.
• Obtain informed consent and ensure consent process compliance.
• Educate patients and families about study purpose, goals, and processes.
• Coordinate scheduling of patient visits, procedures and tests per protocol.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and report to appropriate clinicians.
• Document unfavorable responses and notify sponsors and regulatory agencies.
• Assist with collecting, extracting, coding, and analyzing research data.
• Support IRB and sponsor regulatory compliance and reviews.
• Prepare for external quality assurance and audits.
