Job summary

St. Joseph’s/Candler Health System is seeking an advanced clinical pharmacist directed under the Director and Department Manager. You will provide advanced pharmaceutical care, help develop services and educational programs, and serve as a preceptor for students and residents.

You will participate in policy development and quality assurance across departments. The role includes supervising technical staff, supporting safe drug distribution, and contributing to clinical research with healthcare

Qualifications

Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) required.
2-3 years clinical practice post residency/fellowship preferred.
Prior teaching/faculty experience preferred.
Professional license in state of practice required.
Board certification in a pharmacy specialty within 3 years required.

Responsibilities

Assess pharmacotherapy and tailor therapy to patient needs; communicate recommendations to Medical Staff; collaborate with physicians on goals of therapy.
Compound inpatient unit dose medications, including parenteral preparations; supervise inpatient drug distribution and control.
Participate in QA/QM activities; contribute to the institution's DUE program; ensure Joint Commission compliance.
Develop and implement clinical pharmacy training programs for staff, residents, and nursing; supervise PharmD students and residents on rotations.
Attend Pharmacy Leadership meetings; may lead in director/manager absence; assist staff during high workload or schedule demands.
