Job summary

St. Joseph’s/Candler Health System in Savannah, GA seeks a Pharmacist to provide advanced clinical pharmacy care under supervision of the Director and Department Manager.

You will develop and coordinate clinical services, educate staff, participate in committees, and serve as a preceptor to PharmD students and residents. Requirements include Doctorate of Pharmacy, state license, and BLS; board certification within 3 years; 2–3 years of post-residency clinical experience preferred; teaching

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Pharmacy required.
• 2-3 years clinical practice post residency/fellowship preferred.
• Teaching/faculty experience preferred.
• Professional license with state of practice required.
• Board certification within first 3 years of employment required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Assess pharmacotherapy and tailor therapy to patient needs in collaboration with physicians.
• Prepare inpatient unit dose meds, and supervise inpatient drug distribution and control systems.
• Contribute to quality assurance/quality management activities and DUE program.
• Develop and deliver clinical pharmacy training for staff, residents and nursing.
• Attend pharmacy leadership meetings and assist in director/manager absence.
