Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Oncology for the Elyria Cancer Center. The role focuses on leading clinical programs, optimizing medication therapy, and delivering comprehensive pharmaceutical care to oncology patients.

You will perform medication reviews, collaborate with healthcare teams, and provide education to patients and pharmacy staff. ACLS preferred; strong teaching and mentoring abilities are expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy (BS or PharmD) is required.
• Advanced degree (Pharmacy Masters, Residency) preferred.
• Experience with clinical pharmacy programs and medication therapy management.
• Board certification or residency training in a related specialty is valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to oncology patients.
• Lead clinical programs to improve patient care and therapy outcomes.
• Perform medication reviews and therapy management for safe, cost-effective use.
• Educate patients and staff; precept students and residents as assigned.
• Collaborate with care teams to optimize medication use and resources.
