Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to oncology patients and support specialty services across multiple clinical areas within Carle Foundation Hospital. You will participate in rounds, ensure safe preparation of chemotherapy, and collaborate with hematology/oncology teams to optimize patient care.

Qualified candidates hold an Illinois IDFPR license and a PharmD or B.Pharmacy with clinical experience in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

Licensed Pharmacist (IDFPR) required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy required.
Clinical work experience preferred in oncology or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

Direct patient care to optimize prescribing, administration and monitoring.
Provide MTM services and patient education.
Make dosing recommendations based on age, weight and organ function.
Collaborate with hematology/oncology and inpatient pharmacy teams for both inpatient and outpatient care.
Prepare chemotherapy and investigational medications for trials and ensure safe handling.
Attend rounds and provide pharmacy services in interdisciplinary care at Carle Foundation Hospital.
Monitor adverse effects and ensure adherence to therapy.
