Job summary

Mount Auburn Hospital’s Department of Pharmacy is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist in Medical Oncology to join our team. This role provides clinical coverage for medical oncology patients, potential cross coverage of medical/surgical patients, and teaching opportunities within our Pharmacy Residency Program.

The position follows a Monday–Friday day shift with rotating weekends/holidays, and evening/overnight coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Doctor of Pharmacy degree (five-year program) from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Licensure to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts from the Board of Registration in Pharmacy.
• Strong oral and interpersonal communication to collaborate with other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Practices in compliance with all applicable state and federal laws and accrediting bodies.
• Reviews, interprets, and verifies medication orders for appropriateness and safety.
• Provides pharmacotherapy optimization and drug information to healthcare teams.
• Supervises and directs staff, technicians, residents, and learners.
• Participates in patient care rounds and transitions of care.
• Maintains accurate records for controlled substances and research medications.
• Contributes to quality assurance and departmental initiatives.
