Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Able to communicate effectively in English.
• California RN license required.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• 1 year outpatient or inpatient RN experience preferred.
• 2 years ambulatory oncology care coordination/triage experience.
• ONCC Oncology Certified Nurse certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establishes therapeutic relationships and creates a climate conducive to healing for patients and families.
• Obtains accurate assessment data and interprets it to plan care.
• Collaborates with patient, family and health-care team to develop an individualized plan of care.
• Implements nursing and medical interventions safely and evaluates outcomes.
• Teaches self-care and illness prevention to patients and families; mentors staff as needed.
• Identifies emergencies and activates protocols; supports rapid response.
• Monitors practices to ensure safety and compliance with standards and policies.
• Organizes priorities, delegates tasks, and participates in unit programs and governance.
• Contributes to ongoing professional development and knowledge sharing.
