Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Bellevue, WA, seeks a Registered Nurse – Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join an interdisciplinary care team. The role focuses on patient-centered nursing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, with a strong emphasis on integrating research into practice.

The position is full-time, working 4 x 10 hour shifts at the Overlake Clinic in Bellevue. Requires WA RN license; BSN preferred and oncology experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Must have current Washington State RN license or multi-state license (MSL); upgrade to WA residence within 60 days.
• Oncology experience with training provided if needed.
• Current BLS certification required every two years.
• Advanced certification may be required depending on department.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs and plan care.
• Educate patients and families on disease, treatment, side effects, and symptom management.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
• Refer to social work, home health care, nutrition, and other resources as needed.
• Implement and evaluate care plans; incorporate research into practice.
• Direct and indirect patient care including education, triage, and coordination.
• Attend team meetings and coordinate clinic activities.
• Document nursing care accurately and maintain patient privacy.
