Job summary

IQVIA in the United States seeks a Medical Director for its Hematology-Oncology Center of Excellence to provide strategic medical and scientific input across the development lifecycle.

You will engage with potential customers early, help shape proposals, support conferences, and serve as an internal SME, guiding study design, data interpretation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• MD oncologist with training in the relevant therapeutic area; hematology training or oncology subspecialty is a plus.
• Typically requires 5–7 years of prior relevant experience.
• Practical knowledge in leading and managing processes, projects and tactics within R&D.
• Minimum 3 years of post-training experience in the biopharmaceutical industry.
• Board-certified in Oncology.

Responsibilities

• Work independently under the Hematology-Oncology Center of Excellence Head and COE Leadership.
• Provide scientific and clinical advice to internal stakeholders developing proposals.
• Maintain awareness of latest literature in hematology and oncology.
• Assist in client meetings, proposals, bid defenses, and governance discussions.
• Coach project teams to align execution with medical understanding.
• Collaborate with business development, operations, and other medical leads.
• Act as internal and external consultant across R&D lifecycle.
