Job summary

BioTalent is seeking a Medical Director/Associate Medical Director in Hematology/Oncology to drive clinical development of its oncology pipeline. The role combines leadership in trial oversight with hands-on scientific engagement, ideal for physicians moving from academic or clinical practice into biotech.

You’ll monitor trials, review safety data, guide investigators and CROs, and contribute to regulatory submissions while shaping development strategy.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Hematology/Oncology with clinical trial experience.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical and/or industry experience.
• Experience with interventional trials and clinical research.
• Strong understanding of GCP and clinical trial conduct.
• Experience reviewing clinical/safety data and making medical decisions.
• Phase I/early-phase clinical trial experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Medical Monitor for interventional clinical trials.
• Provide medical oversight of study conduct, patient safety, and emerging clinical data.
• Review SAEs, AESIs, and other safety information alongside Pharmacovigilance.
• Provide medical guidance to investigators, CROs, and study teams.
• Support protocol development and subject management, including eligibility reviews and deviations.
• Participate in investigator meetings, site training, and data review meetings.
• Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Clinical Development, Safety, Biostatistics, Regulatory Affairs, and Medical Writing.
• Contribute to regulatory submissions, clinical study reports, publications, and overall development strategy.
• Build relationships with investigators and key opinion leaders.
