Job summary

Iambic Therapeutics seeks an Associate Medical Director or Medical Director to join its Clinical Development team in San Diego. This role oversees study execution for a phase 1 program and supports IND preparation for pipeline programs, ensuring patient safety, regulatory compliance, and scientific integrity.

Qualifications

• MD/PharmD with oncology drug development experience.
• Experience as a medical monitor on clinical trials.
• Experience interacting with regulatory agencies.
• Strong written and verbal communication; cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the medical monitor for assigned clinical trials and provide medical expertise throughout the study lifecycle.
• Collaborate with clinical operations, regulatory sciences, data management, biostatistics and pharmacology to ensure high study standards.
• Review AEs/SAEs and protocol deviations; assess safety signals with pharmacovigilance.
• Guide patient eligibility and protocol adherence.
• Prepare study documents including protocols, IBs, ICFs and CSRs.
• Interpret trial data for safety and efficacy; ensure data accuracy.
• Support regulatory interactions and contribute to submissions and meetings.
• Develop relationships with KOLs, centers of excellence and patient groups.
• Prepare content for advisory boards, abstracts and manuscripts.
• Stay current with standard of care and experimental therapies.
