Job summary

AbbVie in North Chicago, IL, is seeking a physician-scientist to oversee clinical development programs, design and interpret trials, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The role requires MD/DO or equivalent, residency preferred, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or non-US equivalent with relevant specialty; residency preferred.
• Ability to run a clinical study with supervision.
• Collaborate across functions to achieve program goals.
• Experience in pharma/academic clinical trials preferred.
• Knowledge of trial methodology and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement study protocols for a clinical program in support of Product Development Plan.
• Oversee study integrity and monitor safety/efficacy data with regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to design, analysis, and reporting of protocols and regulatory documents.
• Participate in Clinical Strategy Team and collaborate on Development Plan.
• Engage with opinion leaders and cross-functional partners per policy.
• Stay current with conferences and literature to augment therapeutic expertise.
• Ensure adherence to GCP and other quality standards across studies.
