Job summary

AbbVie in North Chicago, IL, is seeking a Medical Director/Senior Medical Director to oversee clinical development programs, design and interpretation of trials, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data supporting product strategy.

With an MD/DO and clinical trial experience, you will manage study protocols, monitor safety and efficacy, interact with investigators, and contribute to regulatory submissions while maintaining GCP and compliance.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent with residency training in a relevant specialty.
• Experience with translational research and regulatory requirements for clinical trials.
• Ability to run a clinical research study with appropriate supervision and collaborate cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design and implementation of study protocols for a clinical development program.
• Monitor study integrity, safety, and efficacy data; manage enrollment and timelines.
• Contribute to protocol design, investigator brochures, clinical study reports and regulatory submissions.
• Serve on Clinical Strategy Team and align cross-functional clinical development plans.
