Job summary

Piedmont Cancer Institute is seeking a Clinical Medical Assistant to join our hematology/oncology care teams. The role involves direct patient care in infusion and triage areas, documentation in real time, and collaboration with physicians and nurses to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, phlebotomy support, medication administration per orders, and patient education within the scope of practice. Travel between PCI locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program.
• BLS certification required.
• MA diploma or certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in the Infusion Suite and Triage Department as assigned by Nurse Team Leaders and Clinical Managers.
• Assists physicians or advanced practitioners with patient exams or procedures.
• Documents all patient interventions in real time using the electronic health record system.
• Responds to emergencies per PCI policies and supports a multidisciplinary care team.
