Job summary

Franciscan Health Munster Campus is seeking a Medical Assistant to support four providers in a collaborative oncology clinic. You will assist with patient rooming, vital signs, and EMR documentation, while coordinating care and ensuring exceptional service.

The ideal candidate will have a Medical Assisting program or 5 years MA experience, BLS within 90 days, and relevant certifications within 6 months of hire. Sign-on bonus is available; schedule includes weekdays with no weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have direct patient care experience in ambulatory settings.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers and staff in coordinating patient care.
• Schedule appointments and process physician orders for labs.
• Enter information into the electronic medical record system.
• Act as liaison between patients, coworkers and providers.
• Room patients, obtain vital signs and medical histories, document in EMR.
• Perform phlebotomy, point‑of‑care testing, and administer vaccines/injections under supervision.
• Coordinate prior authorizations, referrals, and refill requests.
