Job summary

Duly Health and Care is seeking a Medical Assistant - Oncology for the Brian Moran Cancer Institute in Schaumburg. The role supports physicians, performs vital signs, registrations, and basic office procedures in a full-time, clinic-based setting.

The position requires MA education and certification, CPR, and possibly phlebotomy training within 90 days. Travel to nearby clinics may occur, and the team emphasizes patient-centered care and collaboration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences or related experience required.
• Active MA certification through AMT/NCCT/NHA/ARMA/AAMA preferred.
• CPR certification or willing to obtain on hire.
• May require phlebotomy certification within 90 days of hire.
• Prior experience as MA/CMA/CNA/EMT or 2+ years in medical office assisting with patient care.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, vital signs, and health history.
• Assist physicians during examinations, minor procedures, dressing changes, and first aid.
• May assist with immunizations or injections.
• Handle prescription requests, pharmacy callbacks, and provider orders.
• Conduct onsite labs such as EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose, and urine pregnancy tests.
• Maintain clean, welcoming examination rooms and provide excellent patient service.
• Some travel to support other local clinics may be required.
