Zusammenfassung

The University of Iowa's Holden Cancer Center Chemo Infusion Suite is seeking a 100% Patient Care Technician to assist the nursing team in outpatient care. Under direct supervision, you will support a range of nursing procedures and help ensure patient comfort and safety throughout shifts.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, assisting with admissions, transfers, transports, and daily cares, and stocking rooms. The role is on-campus, full-time, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum Eligibility Requirements: Ability to read, write and follow instructions.

Aufgaben

• Independently obtain and record vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
• Carries out medical asepsis when performing skills and tasks including phlebotomy, peripheral IV removal, and Foley catheter removal and cares.
• Performs simple diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and assist with patient admission, transfers and discharges.
• Transports patients, equipment, specimens, and supplies; assists with patient comfort and personal hygiene.
• Keeps areas clean and stocked; participates in nursing care conferences and reports pertinent information to the nurse in charge.
