Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Nursing management of patients receiving chemotherapy or biologic therapy agents, fluids or other medications.
• Consults with physicians and other nurses; set clinical standards and participate in education activities.
• Liaison between patient/physician and other departments; provide psychosocial support as needed.
• Perform venous access device management, including handling complications and education.
• Process prescription refills per protocol and handle telephone triage/consultations with patients.
• Develop and implement teaching plans for patients and families; ensure effective charting and communication.
