Job summary

The Department of Veterans Affairs at Bay Pines, FL seeks an Interventional and Specialty Care Coordinator nurse. Qualifications

• English language proficiency is required.
• Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by accrediting agency.
• State licensure in the United States required.
• Bridge program pathway for RN to licensure discussed for certain candidates.
• Foreign nursing education requires degree equivalency validation.
• Grounds for Nurse I/II/III classifications defined by VA Qualification Standards.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments according to policy.
• Monitor patient responses and report changes.
• Recognize urgent or emergent situations and perform interventions.
• Manage communications and alerts during clinic hours.
• Ensure completion of required tests prior to appointments.
• Enter orders for labs, supplies, and prosthetics per nursing protocols.
