Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs at Bay Pines VA Health Care System is seeking a Cancer Care Navigator RN to ensure timely access to cancer care and psychosocial support. The role collaborates with the multidisciplinary team and coordinates care across the cancer continuum.

The ideal candidate has nursing licensure in good standing, relevant cancer care navigation experience, and the ability to educate staff and patients within a complex health system.

Qualifications

• English proficiency required for direct patient care.
• State licensure as a registered nurse in the United States.
• Accredited nursing program completion (ACEN/CCNE) or equivalent.
• Foreign nursing education must be validated for equivalency.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in US territory or DC.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team to ensure timely cancer care access.
• Provide case management across cancer continuum and transitions in care.
• Support implementation and sustainment of the local Cancer Care Navigator program.
• Educate staff and patients to maintain standards of care.
