US Oncology Inc. is seeking a Coding Analyst to join the Texas Oncology team in Richardson. This full-time hybrid role involves supporting the Research Billing Department at our Richardson location, with typical hours Monday–Friday 8:30am–5:00pm.

The role emphasizes accurate coding, compliance, and collaboration with a dedicated team. Key responsibilities include reviewing coding changes, abstracting clinical data for ICD-10/CPT/HCPCS codes, and correcting post-denial errors while following CMS

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• AAPC CPC certification required.
• Minimum three years medical coding experience.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel.
• Oncology and medical billing experience preferred.
• Ability to maintain coding accuracy (QA 95%+)

Responsibilities

• Review requests for coding changes based on payer denials.
• Abstract relevant clinical information to assign ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS codes.
• Review and correct coding errors post–claim processing and refile.
• Apply LCD/NCD policies for the CMS region.
• Use coding tools such as Optum Encoder and CMS guidelines.
• Code with an accuracy of 95% or higher per QA reviews.
