Job summary

Messino Cancer Centers is seeking an experienced APRN or PA to join our oncology team. You will assist physicians in patient care, manage prescriptions, and participate in multidisciplinary rounds across multiple sites in the Asheville area.

The role requires a Master's degree and an APRN or PA license with prescriptive privileges, plus 5 years oncology experience. Expect on-call coverage and a commitment to HIPAA-compliant patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant program.
• Master's degree required.
• Minimum 5 years experience as APRN or PA, specifically in Oncology.

Responsibilities

• Assess the physical and psychosocial status of patients by means of interview, health history, physical examination, and diagnostic studies.
• Write prescriptions for medications, blood products, and routine studies following protocols.
• Determine eligibility for entry into clinical trials based on findings.
• Interpret and evaluate findings of studies/tests.
• Relay information regarding patient care to the collaborating physician.
• Dictate follow-up letters and patient histories in a timely manner.
• Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds to ensure quality care.
