Job summary

Oncology Consultants – Greater Heights in Houston seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our oncology care team. You will support physicians in patient assessment, treatment planning, and care coordination.

This full-time role requires 5+ years in oncology, valid APRN/PA license, prescriptive privileges, and certification (ANCC or ONS). You will participate in rounds, handle on-call coverage, documentation, and patient education while upholding HIPAA and quality

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant program.
• Master's degree required.
• APRn or PA license in appropriate state; prescriptive privileges or eligible to apply.
• Current certification from ANCC or ONS (AOCN-P).
• Current BLS.
• Minimum 5 years experience as APRN or PA, oncology.

Responsibilities

• Assess the physical and psychosocial status of patients by interview, history, exam, and tests.
• Write prescriptions for medication, blood products, and follow-up studies per protocols.
• Determine eligibility for entry into clinical trials based on findings.
• Interpret studies/tests and relay information to collaborating physicians.
• Provide on-call coverage and hospital rounds as needed.
• Triage patients to determine urgency of physician evaluation.
• Document care accurately using forms/records and maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Assist in training new staff and work at multiple company sites as needed.
