Job summary
Mount Carmel, a member of Trinity Health, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner specialized in Medical Oncology to manage care for hematology/oncology patients in inpatient and outpatient settings. The APRN will round on chemo patients and cover inpatient consults, with a standard day shift from 8:00 to 4:30, Monday through Friday, in Ohio.
Requirements include a Master’s degree in Nursing or related field, current Ohio RN license with APN designation, applicable certifications
Qualifications
- Masters required in Science, Nursing or Specialty field. Graduate of an Advanced Practitioner program.
- Current Ohio RN license; Advanced Practice Nurse in designated specialty; ANCC preferred; Physician Assistant considered; DEA license or ability to obtain.
- Minimum 2-3 years recent APP oncology experience; effective communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage care of hematology and oncology patients in inpatient and clinic settings.
- See inpatient consults and rounds for patients receiving chemotherapy in the outpatient infusion center.
- Primary shift is Day, Monday–Friday 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m. with occasional coverage of other shifts.
