Job summary

AtlantiCare seeks an Advanced Practice Nurse to deliver high-quality patient care within a collaborative healthcare system. This role emphasizes preventive care, diagnosis and treatment of illnesses, and adherence to joint protocols with collaborating physicians.

The APRN will work with physician leaders and staff to improve outcomes, participate in quality initiatives, and contribute to educational programs while maintaining current clinical competencies.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing from an accredited school or grandfathered by NJ Law.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of NJ and certified by the State Board of Nursing.
• Certification within area of specialty required and granted privileges from Atlantic City Medical Center medical staff.
• NRNNP, C or RNCNS, C registry unencumbered.
• ACLS required in Urgent Care, AtlantiCare Physician Group and Heart Failure Program.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Provides high quality, cost-effective patient care aligned with specialty practice objectives.
• Establishes preventive measures, diagnoses and treats illnesses consistent with practice protocols.
• Collaborates with physician leaders, administration and staff to improve clinical outcomes.
• Participates in quality improvement efforts and departmental committees.
• Contributes to educational programs and teaching activities within the organization.
• Engages in peer review processes to enhance clinical practice.
