Job summary

American Oncology Network AON is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant to support oncology patient care in Hawaii. You will assist physicians in patient teaching and treatment, manage prescriptions, and participate in rounds.

The role requires advanced practice licensure, prescriptive privileges, and at least 5 years oncology experience. Expect onsite work in Hawaii with a network focused on high-quality cancer care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing or related field is required.
• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant program.
• Prescriptive privileges or eligible to apply.
• Current ANCC or ONS certification (AOCN-P).
• Current BLS.
• Minimum 5 years experience as APRN or PA, specifically in Oncology.

Responsibilities

• Assess physical and psychosocial status of patients.
• Write prescriptions for medications, blood products, and diagnostic follow-up as per protocols.
• Determine eligibility for clinical trials based on findings.
• Administer therapies and obtain specimens as prescribed.
• Participate in daily multi-disciplinary rounds for assigned patients.
• Provide on-call coverage and hospital rounds as needed.
• Document care accurately and timely in medical records.
• Assist in training new employees and work across multiple sites.

Education
