Job summary
Virginia Oncology Associates is seeking an APP Manager to lead and support APP operations across practice locations, focusing on strategic initiatives, policy development, and professional development of APP staff.
The ideal candidate will have hematology/oncology background, 5+ years of healthcare experience, and at least 1 year of managerial experience, with strong leadership and collaboration skills and willingness to travel.
Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctorate in PA/NP studies
- Licensed APP (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) required
- At least 5 years health care experience; preference in community oncology
- At least 1 year of managerial experience preferred
- Hematology/oncology experience strongly preferred
- Excellent verbal/written and organizational skills; ability to multi-task
- Excellent computer skills: MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
- Willingness to travel
Responsibilities
- Lead APP workgroup strategy and policy development
- Oversee APP scheduling, utilization and productivity
- Lead recruitment and onboarding of APPs
- Develop onboarding, preceptor and mentorship programs
- Implement APP orientation and continuing education
- Collaborate with practice admins, physicians and leadership
- Conduct annual performance reviews
