Job summary

Orlando Health Cancer Institute – Medical Oncology in Orlando Health – Health Central Hospital, located in Ocoee, FL, seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to deliver high-quality outpatient care within a busy oncology clinic.

The APP will perform advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, collaborate with physicians, and lead care plans with independence while maintaining patient safety and comfort in the clinic setting.

Qualifications

• MN or MSN or DNP or PhD or DNS degree in nursing.
• Graduate of accredited physician assistant program.
• APRN license in the state of Florida.
• National advanced certification from an approved nursing specialty board.
• Maintains current BLS certification.
• Three years of Advanced Practice Provider experience in the specific assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Acts as an advanced resource for specialty area or lead worker in clinic setting.
• Performs complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in diagnosing medical and surgical problems and prescribing necessary treatment and services for quality patient care.
• Operates with the highest degree of independence in provision of patient care services with minimal physician supervision and generally in a highly specialized area.
• Assists in teaching students, residents and interns in complex techniques and procedures that are unique to specialized clinical setting.
• Uses advanced skills and in-depth clinical knowledge to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to clients across the continuum.
