Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Orange City is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to support physicians in delivering high-quality cancer care. You will assess patients, write prescriptions, review clinical data, and participate in daily rounds, while coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires leadership, compliance with HIPAA, and flexibility to work at multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program and match master’s degree or post-master NP certificate.
• Current Florida NP license or eligibility to apply for licensure.
• Certification from AANP, ANCC, or ONCC is required.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess the physical and psychosocial status of patients by interview, health history, physical examination, and diagnostic studies.
• Write prescriptions for medications and blood products as indicated by studies and protocols.
• Determine eligibility of patients for entry into clinical trials based on findings.
• Interpret and evaluate findings of studies/tests and relay information to the collaborating physician.
• Conduct daily multidisciplinary rounds to ensure patients receive quality care and assist in crisis situations as needed.
