Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking an RN – Oncology at our Arlington Memorial location. The role supports oncology patients in a 20-bed unit with team nursing, 3–12 hour night shifts, and a 5:1 patient ratio when paired with a nurse and PCT.

A nursing diploma/associate degree is required, bachelor’s preferred, plus ongoing oncology credentials. Responsibilities include addressing safety and psychosocial needs, engaging with families, and delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in a

Qualifications

  • Nursing Diploma Nursing required OR
  • Associate's Degree Nursing required OR
  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred
  • 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
  • Oncology or end-of-life experience preferred
  • RN - Registered Nurse upon hire required AND
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required AND
  • CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 days required AND
  • ONS – Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certificate 18 months required AND
  • OCN – Oncology Certified Nurse upon hire preferred
