Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Acute Care Adult Medical Oncology Unit (3 East) in Cleveland, OH. You will provide IV therapy, transfusions, and pain management for inpatient oncology patients in a 30-bed unit, with cross-training for Bone Marrow Transplant and supportive care.

The role includes rotating 7a-7p/7p-7a shifts, weekends, and holidays. Applicants must be a graduate nurse with Ohio RN licensure and BLS; PRN requires 1 year RN experience and current certifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire.

Responsibilities

• IV medication therapy, blood product transfusion, pain management.
• Hospice and palliative care.
• Ability to obtain Chemotherapy Certification.
• Time management, critical thinking, delegating.
