Job summary

MetroHealth's Acute Care Adult Medical Oncology Unit (3 East) seeks an experienced RN to provide inpatient cancer care on a 30-bed unit with rotating shifts. You will collaborate with LPNs, PCNAs, and providers to administer IV therapies, transfusions, and manage pain and symptoms.

Required: graduate of an accredited nursing program, Ohio RN license, current BLS, and PRN experience with required certifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire

Responsibilities

• Administer IV medications and blood transfusions.
• Manage pain and provide hospice/palliative care as needed.
• Demonstrate time management and critical thinking in a fast-paced unit.
• Maintain and obtain chemotherapy certification as required.
