Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a field-based Access & Reimbursement Specialist to educate healthcare providers on patient support programs, reimbursement pathways, and payor policies across Hartford, CT and Albany, NY territories.

Candidates should bring oncology/hematology experience and strong account management skills to build relationships with providers, payors, and hospital systems while navigating complex coverage and coding requirements.

Qualifications

• Onc/hematology-oncology experience preferred.
• Understanding of coverage, coding, billing, reimbursement, and payer policy basics.
• Strong territory and account management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Educate HCPs on patient support programs and reimbursement tools.
• Educate on product-specific acquisition and access options like specialty networks and white-bagging.
• Educate on payer policies and coordination of coding/billing changes.
• Collaborate with Oncology stakeholders for key account management.
• Report payer trends to Patient Services and MHC teams.
• Build relationships with providers within the territory.
• Stay current on managed care, reimbursement, and policy activities.
