Onboarding Supervisor - HR / Talent Acquisition (Remote)

Job Requirements

Onboarding Supervisor - HR / Talent Acquisition (Remote)

Innovative Renal Care is seeking a hands-on, detail-obsessed Onboarding Supervisor to lead and enhance our national onboarding function for both clinical and non-clinical hires. If you're a credentialing-savvy, systems-oriented onboarding professional who thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced environment – this is your opportunity to make an immediate impact.

This Onboarding Supervisor role is ideal for someone who has supervised or managed onboarding processes at scale, preferably within healthcare, and who brings deep expertise in First Advantage background checks, I-9 compliance, and onboarding technology. You'll lead a small but mighty team and serve as the go-to resource for new hire onboarding across our multi-state organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee day-to-day onboarding operations from offer acceptance through Day 1 for clinical and non-clinical employees across the U.S.
  • Supervise onboarding specialists, providing coaching, task delegation, and quality assurance.
  • Serve as the primary contact for onboarding related questions from new hires, managers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate background checks and drug screening processes through First Advantage, providing guidance on adjudication and escalations.
  • Maintain strict compliance with I-9 and E-Verify processes, including auditing and training others on best practices.
  • Monitor and optimize onboarding workflows within our ATS and HR systems (experience with UKG onboarding is a plus).
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition, HR, and Hiring Managers to continuously improve the onboarding experience and reduce time-to-productivity.
  • Conduct periodic follow-ups with new hires and managers to assess onboarding satisfaction and make program recommendations.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in onboarding, credentialing, or HR operations required – healthcare experience highly preferred.
  • 2+ years of supervisory, people management or team lead experience required – including coaching, delegating, and performance oversight.
  • Hands-on experience with First Advantage background check systems, including adjudication oversight and vendor relationship management.
  • Expert-level understanding of I-9 compliance, with experience training others and leading internal audits.
  • Strong process improvement mindset, with experience implementing onboarding automation or systems enhancements.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, especially in written communication.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills; you’re great over email and even better in Microsoft Teams meetings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with UKG Pro Onboarding strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • HR certifications (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) preferred.
