Position Overview

We are seeking an Onboarding and Staffing Specialist to join our team. Success in this role requires a working knowledge of labor legislation and current HR practices. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and enjoy helping candidates start their next career adventure.

Responsibilities
  1. Utilize various communication channels to connect with new hires, answer questions, provide guidance, troubleshoot errors, and relay necessary company information.
  2. Welcome new team members efficiently using digital onboarding kits tailored to their location, role, and division.
  3. Coordinate with Recruiting, Staffing, Travel, Payroll, and Training Departments as the new hire liaison.
  4. Outline initial tasks, answer questions, and set up technical tools for new hires.
  5. Collect and maintain employment documentation, certifications, and licensure, ensuring compliance with requirements.
  6. Collaborate with departments to streamline the hiring and onboarding process.
  7. Gain hands-on experience in key HR skills, including opportunities to work within healthcare and government sectors.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Human Resources Management or related field; equivalent work experience considered.
  2. Experience in a Human Resources Department focusing on onboarding is preferred.
  3. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  4. Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and Resume Databases.
  5. Good knowledge of HR practices and labor legislation.
  6. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  8. Strong teamwork and organizational skills.
  9. Effective time management skills.
