Job summary

YAI - Seeing beyond disability in New York seeks an Onboarding Specialist to coordinate candidate scheduling, collect documentation, and process new hire forms. The role works with the recruiting team and HR staff using Workday to initiate hires and verify licenses and clearances.

You will ensure compliance with state and federal requirements, maintain records, and communicate onboarding status to stakeholders. The position offers hourly pay and regular daytime hours.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or its educational equivalent.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task and follow-up on outstanding items.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to navigate electronic systems, such as HRIS/ATS software or other databases.
• Ability to work with all levels of staff and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate onboarding tasks and documents with candidates and HR team.
• Conduct onboarding appointments and collect required paperwork.
• Verify background checks and licenses, and store documentation.
• Ensure compliance with State and Federal requirements in onboarding.
• Maintain clearance databases and track new hire paperwork.
