Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a dedicated train cleaning operative to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of our rolling stock. You will travel on the train while it is in service, delivering a high standard of cleaning and customer service.

Shifts follow an 8-hour pattern with start as early as 5:30 and finish by 23:00; night and weekend work is expected. You will interact with passengers and train crew to ensure a positive travel experience.

Qualifications

• Must have right to work in the UK.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Previous cleaning experience preferred.
• Willingness to work night and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and vacuuming inside the train.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies to ensure materials are available for daily tasks.
• Work onboard trains during travel and interact with passengers and train crew.

Job description

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain a tidy environment inside the train
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as needed, ensuring that all necessary materials are on hand to perform daily tasks.
• You will work onboard the trains during travel and will therefore have interaction with passengers and train crew

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria

• You must have right to work in the UK.
• Excellent customer service skills
• Previous experience in cleaning would be advantageous.
• Willingness to work night and weekend shifts.
