Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is hiring a part-time Cleaning Supervisor to maintain clean external areas and support daily operations at our Carlisle site. The role involves daily litter picking, sweeping entrances, deep cleaning of hard surfaces, and ensuring drains are clear.

You will lead by example, work with the team to meet high standards, follow health & safety policies, and liaise with the client to exceed expectations. Times are flexible to discuss at interview.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a cleaning environment.
• Experience managing a team and implementing/adherring to health & safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Keep external areas clean and tidy daily.
• Litter picking and sweeping entrances and pathways daily.
• Routine deep cleaning of hard surfaces.
• Ensure drains are free from leaves and debris.
• Lead by example with a strong cleaning knowledge base.
• Reactively clean offices/workshops to high standards including toilets/kitchenettes.
• Provide an effective cleaning service to the client.
• Liaise with client contacts to meet service expectations.
• Work as part of a team and follow supervisor instructions.
• Review work schedules with Cleaning Supervisor.
• Adhere to company policies and health & safety procedures.
• Complete quality audits and reports as per company specs.

Working Pattern

Part time, 2 days a week, times flexible to be discussed at interview. Also extra hours available to cover annual leave.

Key Responsibilities

• To keep external areas clean and tidy on a daily basis.
• Litter picking and sweeping of entrances and pathways on a daily basis.
• Routine deep cleaning of hard areas.
• Keep drain areas free from leaves and other debris.
• You must lead by example and will be able to demonstrate a strong cleaning knowledge base.
• Reactive cleaning of offices and workshops to a high specified standard including toilets, kitchenettes and any other areas instructed by your supervisor.
• To ensure that an effective cleaning service is provided to the client.
• To liaise with Client & Client Contacts in order to meet their expectations on the specified service.
• To work as part of a team and use initiative to complete cleaning duties to a set standard.
• Follow instructions from your Supervisor and Manager, ensuring the correct company policy and procedures are always upheld.
• To review work schedules alongside your Cleaning Supervisor.
• Always adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Understand, practice, and always promote the importance of Health & Safety procedures and policies.
• The regular completion of quality audits and reports as per company specification.
• Sweeping/cleaning of hard areas and drains.
• Litter picking and sweeping of entrances and pathways on a daily basis.
• To keep external areas clean and tidy on a daily basis.

Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in a cleaning environment.
• Previous experience of managing a team and demonstrate the ability to implement and adhere to standards and procedures, in relation to Health & Safety.
