Job summary

American Cruise Lines is seeking aboard cooks for the 2026 season on America’s rivers. You will join a shipboard culinary team delivering first‑class dining using fresh ingredients and regional inspirations.

Responsibilities include breakfast, lunch and dinner production, collaborating with the Executive/Sous Chef, and meeting dietary requests while maintaining top hygiene standards. This exempt, full‑time role requires flexibility and endurance for life at sea.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of culinary experience in full-service resort, hotel, country club or full-service restaurant.
Experience cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Familiar with food safety standards.
Strong problem solving, organizational and self-motivation.
Effective leader with time management.
Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Executive/Sous Chef to prepare diverse meals from fresh ingredients.
Organize workload to keep kitchen processes efficient.
Prepare high-quality dishes following the menu selections.
Respect guests' dietary requests and restrictions.
Maintain kitchen hygiene and food safety throughout preparation.
Communicate effectively with coworkers during service.
