Job summary

American Cruise Lines, the largest cruise line in the United States, seeks a Lead Line Cook for the 2026 season aboard America’s rivers. You will support the Executive Chef/Sous Chef with breakfast, lunch, and dinner production, following the menu matrix and accommodating dietary needs on every meal.

This role requires strong culinary credentials, the ability to lead a small galley team, and a commitment to sanitation and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in full-service dining.
• Line cook experience with breakfast, lunch, dinner and buffets.
• Ability to follow menus and dietary requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and service all food items in the galley per menu.
• Control inventory and minimize food waste via standardized recipes.
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, and daily logs.
• Lead and guide galley stewards.
• Ensure guest and crew satisfaction with presentation and timeliness.
• Assist with breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and special onboard events.
